Health is Wealth! That’s what I always tell my friends and relatives. Wealth is useless if you’re not Healthy. Good thing Sun Life supports protecting our wealth and health thru its activities and offerings.
SunPIOLOgy, the annual fun run fund-raiser event founded by papa P. (Piolo Pascual), now on its 9th year is having SunPiology Duo this year with Bike/Cycling and Running activity.
The Bike/Cycling activity dubbed as #SunLifeCyclePh was done yesterday November 18, 2017 at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City. And I’m happy to say that I was there to see action and as a participant. Last year, we also joined in the #SugarWars run held in Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
There were several categories, having 2 categories for professional and feeling professional bikers like me, hehe. The Short Distance Ride – 20km and the Long Distance Ride which is 40km long that runs from BGC to Roxas Blvd and vice versa. There were also categories for children and family in tricycle ride, family ride and solo ride for kids.
Which category did I join? As I mentioned, I was feeling professional so I joined the Long Distance Ride – 40km. I was actually hesitant at first as I might not be able to finish on time. Thank God the jersey was the deciding factor, I was able to finish below the 2 hour period.
Participants were given lootbag with goodies from sponsors, stickers, bike jersey and race bib. Personally I like the Sun Life Bike Lock, light and the jersey. All finishers get their medals and post-race meal which is a burger and energy drink Powerade.
One thing I like about SunPiology is that you get to run/bike along with your favorite celebrities. Present bikers / cycling participants were Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, Gretchen Ho, Matteo Guidicelli, Bubbles Paraiso, former PBB teen housemates Kisses and Marco and of course Piolo Pascual and son Inigo Pascual. There were other celebrities but I’m not very familiar with them, sorry for that.
