How to easily pay your Sun Life insurance policies in the Philippines and abroad

One of the most Frequently Asked Questions I’ve been getting from aspiring, new and existing Sun Life Policy Holders is “How Do I Pay Easily my Sun Life Insurance” in the Philippines and abroad?

Good thing Sun Life Philippines officially posted all the possible options how you can easily pay your Sun Life Insurances / Policies be it offline, online, here and abroad.

How to Easily Pay your Sun Life Insurance in the Philippines and Abroad

Online Payment

  • My Sun Life Client Portal and Mobile App – If you have a My Sun Life Client Account (client portal via sunlife.com.ph), you may settle your premium dues using your Visa or Mastercard credit card.

    Login to your Sun Life Account, go to the “Pay Now” section to process your payment. This facility is applicable for traditional Peso and Dollar policies.
  • Bank Bills Payment (Online Banking)  – Use your bank’s online bills payment feature by enrolling Sun Life online. Once enrolled, you can simply pay for your policies anytime without the burden of presenting any proof of payment.

    Name of Merchant - Sun Life of Canada Phils. Inc

    You can choose to activate the bills payment feature by simply enrolling Sun Life through your bank’s website or mobile app. Once enrollment is completed, you may use the bank’s facility anytime, anywhere. No need to fill out additional forms or present proof of payment to Sun Life centers anymore!

  • Paymaya, Smart, GCash – You need to have a PayMaya, Smart Money, or GCash account with sufficient funds to pay your Sun Life traditional and variable unit linked (VUL) life insurance policies.

    • Paymaya – Login to your PayMaya account and go to Pay Bill. Choose Sun Life of Canada as the biller and fill in your account details.

    • Smart Money – Use your Smart Money account via SMS and use the biller code of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc.’s for traditional and VUL policies: 02020.

    • GCash – Choose to pay using just your phone’s SMS feature or through the GCASH app.

Auto Charge and Auto Debit Arrangement

  • Auto Debit Arrangement (ADA) – Use your bank account to automatically pay for your VUL and Traditional Life policies. As of writing, this is possible if you have BPI and BDO accounts.
    Register your BPI or BDO accounts for ADA by simply filling out the forms below and submitting it to your Sun Life Advisors or to any of our Client Service Centers.

  • Auto Charge Arrangement (ACA) – Use your Visa or Mastercard credit cards to automatically pay for your traditional life insurance policies.

    Register your Visa or Mastercard credit cards for ACA by filling out the form below and submitting it to any of our Client Service Centers.

    As of April 29, 2019, you may also pay your VUL Policies via Auto Charge Arrangement.

Over the Counter Payments

  • Payment Centers – Visit any of our third party partners with branches nationwide and present your billing notice along with their Bills Payment Slip.

    You may choose to pay in CASH or CHECK payable to Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. through the following Payment Centers:
    • SM Incorporated (SM Bills payment in SM Malls)
    • Bayad Center
    • Cebuana Lhuiller
    • Robinsons

Please take note that the payment posting to your account will be dependent on the bank’s confirmation. Based on experience, usually around 1-5 business days.

  • Over-the-Counter (OTC) bank bills payment – Bills payment facility allows client to pay through the bank via over-the-counter for renewal payment transactions.

    Fill out the Bills payment form with policy number and name of policy owner. You may choose to pay in CASH or CHECK payable to Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. through the following bank partners:

Please take note that the payment posting to your account will be dependent on the bank’s confirmation. Based on experience, usually around 3-5 banking days.

  • Overseas Banks
    You can stop over at our bank partners located abroad. Just simply present your policy number, client name, and cash payment. Payment will reflect to your policy upon successful confirmation.
  1. Philippine National Bank Overseas Remittance Centers
    • Client needs to inform PNB Remittance Center that payment is for Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc.
    • Advise PNB Remittance Center of the policy’s currency.
    • The client shall shoulder remittance fee.

    For your first-time payment, you may choose to do over-the-counter transactions by proceeding to any of the listed partner banks and make a regular deposit.

    Sun Life Financial has an extensive service reach in the Philippines with more than 70 client service centers nationwide.

    You can visit any of these Client Service Centers to pay your premium. Just inform our cashiers on the policy details and amount to be paid so we can process your payments.Acceptable payment methods:

Word of advise – Always keep copies of your payments. I usually take a picture of receipts and have a folder of all payments I make.

It may also help to inform your Sun Life Advisors that you made such payments so they can also monitor posting of your payments on time.

  1. Hi! I cannot find the Pay Now option in the mobile app or even as I log in Sunlink via website. Where is it found?

    1. Updated: Hi Kim, “Pay Now” option only appears 25 days before and up to 30 days after your due date. In case it is still not appearing, best to seek the help of your Sun Life Advisor. Your Sun Life Advisor can make a request to have it enabled for you.
